I live near the mountains of NC and my 1/4 acre yard is a thriving ecosystem for the greens. They are everywhere from old to eggs.

They definitely are. When I lived in north Florida as a kid I'd see green anoles everywhere. By around 2010s I never saw them except for up on walls or trees, rarely too. Moved up to Alabama further from the invasion and I actually see green anoles on the ground here.

The brown one's breed more and are more aggressive and live in urban areas....this could apply to other species of life as well😂
