He always finds a way to teach something new, despite he is building the same thing fourth time. He is a very good teacher. He also adds an entertainment factor in his tutorials to not make his pupils bored.

No1 Quick tip at 09:15 for beginners. Kindly take note so that you dont run into issues. Modifiers are applied only in Object Mode. You cant do that in Edit mode so you should take note. How to move from Edit mode to Object mode, you hit Tab or you go to the top left side of your screen below the Blender icon row, You see Edit mode, click it and then a drop down appears then you select object mode, Then you can go ahead and apply the modifier at the modifier panel. Stay blessed
No.2 You might find out that when you click and drag down, Your icing still goes through the donut's body and I faced similar issue. The reason is that you didnt select the tip of the icing at the middle part (Vertexes) To get around this problem. Toggle to X Ray mode. This is at the top right conor of your viewport on top of the axis gizmo or XYZ axis indicator. You see 2 boxes, and 3 globes. choose the 2 boxes icon so you can see the vertexes and you would immediately notice that you didnt select the middle vertex or the tip of the icing.

Unlike many other tutorials that always either skip over crucial detail like how to even start editing the node, or always goes too slow and tells you each individual step like (move your mouse. Click on the left mouse button. Move away from the button.) etc, your ones are perfect. While some of the keybinds aren't the same as on my computer, a simple search easily fixes these problems.

I consider myself a advanced Blender user. Yet i catch myself watching and doing these donut series. Because somehow he comes up with stuff that i never used before. Such as changing the inner crease in the solidify edge data. I've never played around with that, and now i can think of multiple situations when i wished i knew this earlier.

Thanks for another great tutorial! I have a few tips for people running into problems:
1. If the bottom edge of the icing is hidden inside the donut body, you can select the bottom edge to scale it up a little bit on x-y plane.
2. The key combintation to select more on my PC is control-numpad +, not control-+
3. Some of my icing was clipped by donut body after I pulled down the bottom edge. I selected a vertex on icing, and used ALT-S with proximity editing to push it out to fix the clipping.

I struggled a lot with the icing part in the previous version of this tutorial. This version is much better on a few details, I had far less trouble to follow along. Well done!

I just want you to know that I am an art student in college, pursuing an animation degree. My Illustration teacher actually recommended I watch your tutorials and learn blender since I am ahead of the class. This is to help me make a pub scene for an animatic I am working on, so that I don't have to be fussing around with perspective in the drawing process.

This is so clear and easy to follow! I hear about Blender being a nightmare, and maybe it has something to do with me being an art student in college, but I actually find this to be less intimidating than I ever thought it would be thanks to you!

Honestly these got so much better over the years. For the first time I tried to create donut in blender 2.7 back in 2021, it was like THE first thing I tried to do in blender ever, and so many things were unclear and required searching for answers on the internet, this is just a smooth sail from start to finish so far, I love it and I know people who will open blender for the first time will love it too

WIth the face project bit, if anyone else is having trouble "Project to individual elements" is a CHECKBOX now, diffrent from how it is in the video. Took me like 10m to figure out and hope this helps someone.

i have to say, as someone with adhd who can never sit throught any tutorial (like i always end up just trying to wing it or give up) youre an excellent teacher. youre kind, easy to follow, interesting i dont think ive ever in my life followed a tutorial with this many part from a to z. and graphic design is not even my passion at all, i just wanted to try to replicate those tiktoks i see of cubes and shapes breaking apart depending on their faces or resolution. now im like fully commited at making a donut and that is because youre really good at what youre doing

In 12:20, if your ctrl + zooms instead of selecting more, try to use the + on the number section on the most right of your keyboard

I've been doing Blender for more than 2 years now and this is the first time I watch a donut tutorial! I knew there's gonna be something that I didn't know about... thank you.

By far the most difficult. I had to restart and took me 2 hours to finish this episode. I don’t regret it because it looks so good even without color

For those who are still having the issue with the icing going through the donut, I found a solution by clicking on the "Snap" menu and checking the "Project individual elements" box. I'm a beginner myself, so I don't fully understand how this checkbox works, but it did the trick for me. Good luck with your donut creations!

I was trying it with the older tutorial series not realising why the clipping issues kept happening. Retried the series twice before realizing i was in a newer version of blender. Finally got through with this part and feel so happy. Thank you for making this series so accesible!

Man this is a throwback to see a new version, I was starting blender right when the last one was posted and it was the first tutorial I ever followed. Thanks for starting mine and many others Blender journeys Blender Guru!

It's a real pleasure to watch your tutorials because you really explain things in a beginner's way but still go into depth. Thank you for being such a good teacher.

You made it to part 3, great job! The icing is one of the most fun parts of the donut-building process. If you are struggling to get the vertices on the drippy parts right, take a step back, breathe, and start over on the icing if you need to. There’s no rush, and they don’t need to look perfect. Just take your time. It’ll turn out great!

For the selecting and hiding of the internals of the icing and adding and removing rings of vertices from the selection, make sure to use the number pad's + key, not the plus on the row with numbers below F12.

I've never really been much for creating things or felt like i had an artistic bone in my body, but i got actual chills when i got to the end of this one and saw how my donut was coming together. This is so much fun i cant wait to learn more.

Wow! The fact this experienced teacher goes through the steps slowly and little by little is really helpful. So excited to continue working on my donut!
