As said by others, I don't think that's the one he used on the show. I just got done watching the episode where he was in Ecuador, and I'll swear the handle was bright orange. Whatever it was it made a lot of sparks and looks like it's something I'd want, but I wish he'd have said what it really was.

BTW, I think the other survivor show with Les Stroud was better... not so much showmanship and he seemed more into teaching us something instead of "watch me do this."

@OpticPyro779 My lighter worked fine in Vietnam and never broke, they sell those containers at Wal-mart. Put it in your pocket and try to break the lighter in your pocket. Now long do you expect to be out there? Bring a SAT phone.

It's not the fact that he has a TV crew, it's that he enjoys the same comforts the crew enjoys when he's supposed to be surviving with whats he alone can carry, as if the crew was not there.
