I did one of my college presentations on the history of the inclines in pgh there used to be over twenty

I've ridden that. The view from the top is amazing.

If I remember the incline is across from The Point, where the Monongahela and Allegheny rivers meet to form the Ohio River. Great fun riding the Washington Incline.

There's one in Chattanooga, Tennessee that goes up and down Lookout Mountain.

There is another one located in Johnstown, Pa that is large enough to fit a car. Built after the great flood of 1889 that wiped out over 2000 people.

I love riding furniculars. There's one in Bergen, Norway that has a station mid-way, though the Mon Incline is the best... due to some local bias of course.

Johnstown Pa at Christmas time looking down from the top….like a snow globe
