Question for you, hope you can help. I use qb desktop, i have memorized invoices for each of my tenants dated 1st of month. Some tenants pay early before the 1st. When I receive payment, the invoice is not there to link with because it is for a future date. I go to my memorized transactions and open that particular invoice. I hit save and close and then when I go back to receive payment I can link to that invoice. BUT the payment will not show up on my P&L until the date of the invoice. I use cash accounting so the payment should go on P&L as soon as payment is received. I then go to the invoice and change the date to the payment date and then it will show up on P&L. It works but seems like too many steps. Is there a better way?
