They're taught to be selfish. That is why theres a big disconnect from Grandma's era to our current modern women's era. Both grandma and grandpa would sylay "im going to take care of my family and make sure theyre good before i even take care of myself"....men are still like that, women are not. Women today are about themselves. MAYBE their kids get some priority, outside of that, community, their man, their family members, cant depend on them for shit.
