+1 for the Plexus love. Was the only thing we ever let touch aircraft windscreens at numerous fields. I've applied the same to my visors and bike windscreens and it never ceases to amaze me.

Bike looks like a great project to take on. Excited to see the upcoming videos as you dig into it...I'm sure I'll learn even more about this bike than I already have from your previous videos. Thanks again for all the videos!

Kirk....another LT? No doubt about it, you certainly have become an expert on that model. Any future plans of buying an RT? The oilhead models would be a great choice. Plenty of those on the market and are fairly inexpensive.

I enjoy your work and passion for the LT's. I will watch every episode of this rebuild. I am the guy who almost purchased the Shark Bike the first time you put it on eBay but instead pulled the trigger on a 2009 K1300GT. That bike cost me much more than any LT but I just felt more comfortable on a lighter machine and like the idea of the removable luggage. I've put about 1600 miles on it getting my motorcycle mojo back and have to tell you the bike is everything and more than I expected. It calls for speed but at the ripe old age of 67 I am perfectly happy to lope along at the speed limit or with traffic, which ever is safer. I have not taken it to its upper ranges yet as I've been working on it myself and plan on having BMW go over it thoroughly. Tires are just OK, gonna replace them. I am moving to the Huntley area and plan on connecting with you in the future. Perhaps at some point you can take a look at my machine and do some work on it. Planning on taking it to southern California here in September, my last hurrah before winter. When I get home it may be Huntley instead of the Twin Cities I return to. Blessing to you and thanks for the fun and informative videos.

I have the original seat for my 01 K1200LT, I HAD IT changed out the first year I had it for the more narrower one. You can have it if it will fit the Bee Bike.

The "Bee-LT"! Surprised no one came up with that one yet. I'm hungry. 😁

Kirk I have a 99 in the same color that I purchased a couple of years ago with only 4500 mi. It was purchased to build a sidecar rig. I put rig on road March of 17 and have logged a total 20k since. The reason for comment changed the trunk out for one that holds my aux fuel. Its on the shelf and looks new, interested?

The "Hail" or "Oh Hail" or "What the Hail" bike.

My 2000 goes into a wobble with Metzler tires but with the Michelin PR4GT's it's rock steady at all speeds.

The Beest. Intentionally misspelled to account for the bee. 😂

Looks like the shifter is bent a little and moving too far due to slop in the linkage. Looks like it has been down on both sides given the shape of the panels and the repainted panels.

I am thinking I'd like to get a BMW project bike - I own a 1150 and was thinking of a 1100 or another 1150 series engine. What are your thoughts in terms of

a. Cost vs Benefit
b. Parts availability and cost
c. Ease of repair?

I know loaded questions, but I am staying away from the 1200 series engine due to their increased dependency on electronics. If you had the choice of any year project bike/style from BMW what would it be?

Thanks
Richard

Front tire... I tried the Shinko 016 Verge 2X. I like it so far. But have noticed it response quick and easy. Next tire will try something else again just because.

Put the short stubby Kurvey Girl tire valves on. Work great and all metal so they last a long time.

Looks amazing compared to my 2000, and I've done a ton of work on mine.

Interesting, at about 34 minutes, closed captioning comes on. A benefit for me.

I just got an 07. I really wanted to know why it wobbles on cruise instantly after I took my hands off. You just confirmed that it happens but how do I fix it? New damper?

I am looking for a hydraulic center standing. Any suggestions on where I can get a used one. I've reach out to boneyard but no luck.

Could the "material" you could saw from underneath have anything to do with the cut-out section of the side bumper?
