The creative team behind Mountain presents the musical and cinematic odyssey, River, in a special one-night-only concert for 2022.

The Australian Chamber Orchestra will premiere RIVER, Richard Tognetti’s cinematic and musical collaboration with award-winning director Jennifer Peedom, narrator Willem Dafoe and writer Robert Macfarlane, in a special, one-night-only concert on Saturday 15 October at the City Recital Hall.

The sequel to the record-breaking production Mountain, River is a profound
cinematic and musical reflection on how rivers have shaped both the planet’s elaborate landscapes and human existence.

Richard Tognetti will direct the ACO live onstage alongside a screening of the full film. Featuring an enthralling score curated by Tognetti, the concert spans existing music by composers including JS Bach, Vivaldi, Mahler and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood to new music by Australian composer and musician William Barton, Piers Burbrook de Vere and Tognetti himself.
