Never would have even considered a pink worm (or really any other jig) without your vids. Absolutely the deadliest technique there is for big wild trout.

Thanks for some of the tips and tricks. This will be my second year kayak fishing southern BC for trout and kokanee. Jealous of the peddle drive

Bravo Sir, amazing footage and information. Thank you very much for posting this. My dad and I are picking out our ultralight rods very soon. We are looking at the Berkley Lightning rod 8' UL possibly. I am working sourcing some decent jigheads also with the info you gave me, so we are almost set. :) We have missed most of this winter season, but we are going to experiment very soon in some local waters. Those lakes up around Port sure are beautiful, we may have to make a day trip to check them out as well. Cheers, and thanks again for the upload.

I know I'm a little late to this party, but great video man. You guys were pulling some awesome fish out of that lake. I'm curious what type of Kayak you're using there?

Love the method....I fish only UL and have not used this method but you can bet I will be. I fish a lake that produces Cutt’s up to 22” (my largest) but there has to be bigger ones and most are 17” range. I did not notice or hear mention of a depth Finder...do you not have one?

Just wondering how big of a tail one can use for trout? I somehow ended up with a couple packs of 2" Mr Twisters, and just started using them on 1/16th heads for trout last year. They work good in streams and small rivers, but the casting distance is pretty underwhelming on lakes compared to the spoons and spinners I typically use. To go to a heavyer jig I'd have to go to a 3" tail, in your experience is a 3" twister tail too big? Seems weird using walleye sized plastics on trout.

How much weight should I use on my line with your set up or just as is with the hook and fake worm? Also is it beneficial to put some food on the actual hook as well, like bread or peanut butter?
