I'm still shocked how rapidly the price inflated like it did. Bought a 16gb kit of Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 for around $120 back in 2016. Dom Plats were always one of the more expensive kits as well. Built a new Ryzen machine recently and the G.Skill Trident Z 16gb kit was $235. One hell of a price hike.

The high RAM and GPU prices directly caused me to cancel two build projects and delay two more. I now have just one build in progress and it is in limbo with case, motherboard, and CPU delivered and ready but still waiting on a decent deal on RAM and graphics card.
