For those asking about the quarter.. I used to do this for a couple years.
He accidentally cut the hole sloppy and on an angle, (it happens from time to time, even to the extremely skilled.. it's really hard to judge if something is 90 degrees straight up and down when all of the ground around you is sloped) You can see him stepping on the white cup setter trying to force one side lower so the cup is level and the flag sits straight up and down. (My superintendent HATED when we did this cuz the cup setter can leave indents in the green if you’re not careful, but if you’re careful it’s perfectly fine) He then used the quarter as a shim in between the cup and the dirt to keep the cup/flag from wobbling and standing straight which is honestly a pretty good idea. I used to use a spoon and put more dirt in between when I had to readjust it lol, which is far messier and time consuming.
