The free VPN is not FREE for all countries . Australians have to pay $12.50 a month to get it .

It's available now, thanks! This feature drop overall wasn't crazy but this feature, the new recorder speaker market feature, and the new live wallpapers are the highlights for me. Also it now showing battery and app usage based on last full charge FINALLY

Seems that this is valid if you're a paid (Premium) Google 1 customer. I have the P7pro (but not premium G1) and no VPN appears (yet? ... I'm in UK, and phone has Nov 5 update)

I've been using always on VPN since 2018. It can be enabled with Google Fi if you have a pixel phone. I also have Google one but have never enabled it since it's already enabled on Google Fi.

I've just tested this on a few sites and I just get 'this video is not available in your country' (or equivalent in local language) so it's a fail on that one. This isn't that important to me though - I doubt I will ever need a VPN as I have managed without one so far. I have a lot of issues with this Google Pixel 7 Pro, the main one being that the battery is extremely thirsty, takes a long time to charge up, even on the 'rapid charging' mode, and I can't charge it through USB in the car when wired to Android auto. This IS important to me as I use it a lot in the car, and I want to arrive at my destination with a fully-charged phone. The only way around this is to use my old Huawei P30 for the Android auto, connected to the Pixel by hotspot, which is a hassle. My Huawei battery lasts for about 2 days, but the Pixel lasts for about 6 hours, plus the Huawei charges to almost full in about 20 minutes. Having to buy a full set of new chargers, setting me back nigh on £50, is another minus. For such an expensive phone they could at least have put in a charger. Another thing is that it doesn't go to the lockscreen when I close the wallet cover or turn it over - I can't find how to fix this - I had to install the accessibility toggle and I have to do it manually. It would also be useful to be able to adjust the volume on the screen, or easily adjust the screen brightness, without having to go into the settings each time. And a relatively minor thing - if I want it to recognise a tune I could previously just hold the microphone and it would have a 'listen' option, but with this one I have to speak to it, which is a bit silly. All in all it seems rather cumbersome, and I'm struggling to find any improvements over the Huawei P30. I'm going to have to get used to it, or I might give the phone to one of my kids and keep the old one as it does what I need it to do.

I have the Pixel 7 pro and the December 5th update but it's still telling me to upgrade my Google 1subscription to the 2 TB plan to get the VPN. Is this just not available in the UK?

In Greece the VPN by Google One on the Pixel 7 Pro, is only available in Premium 2TB or higher plans... But thanks anyway for the info

I've got 7 pro and it's saying it's only available if I have a 2tb premium Google 1 plan.
