I've eaten Durian fruits in past visits to the Philippines and Malaysia. And yes, those fruits can grow as large and heavy as jackfruits. And those spikes are really sharp, I even cut my hand just by lightly touching it. Vendors usually use thick leather gloves when handling them and they are packed in cardboard boxes.
