I got a new 4K TV! I picked up the Sony X900H 4K TV in a 75” model. Here are my thoughts and a quick review!

I just got my first 4k TV today too. It's just a 55" TCL. Pretty cheap I know, but I can't afford anything crazy and it's a big upgrade from my 40" from 2012.

good choice. if you don’t care about gaming, which is why this tv got popular, u should have gone with with the 950h. the 900h has full array 32 zones. whereas the 950 has double, or more than double the zones. so better quality picture at the same or maybe just a little bit more price.

Congrats on the new TV. That 75" deal was amazing, but I'm trying to get maybe the 55" as big as I can go for my area, but only the 65" is always on sale for the same price.

OLEDs don't really burn in anymore. The earlier models did, but new models have built in protections to prevent it.

I have a 2 year old LG OLED, and have never had burn in. I've also gamed heavily on it too.

My Best Buy TV warranty covers screen burn too, so I'm not worried personally if it eventually does. I'd rather risk a small chance of burn in over purchasing an inferior LED set with worse picture quality.

Just bought the 85in version of this TV. I believe mine is the one model up. So excited to hear you are happy and I'm so glad now that I made the right decision going with 4k LED with full array local dimming.

And a great choice for video gaming! You'll be able to play games in 120hz; once you get a next gen console. And you don't have to worry about burn in from static content (e.g. certain video games).

I got the X900H too, Jeff, and am absolutely delighted with it! Reds and oranges in particular are so rich, absolutely gorgeous. Sony does color proud!

Just picked up a 65" Sony X950H the other day. I coupled it with a Nakamichi 7.2.4 soundbar syatem and watched several 4K movies (Saving Private Ryan, Justice League, Finding Dory) and was really impressed with.the picture quality and sound.
Thanks for all the great contant you put out. I never buy a 4K disc without checking out your reviews now. Keep it up!

Sony has the best image processor in the business. I personally own the A8H right now but I also have a x900e. Nice TV and great choice going with the Sony! Enjoy!

Welcome to the Sony fan club. Congrats on your purchase. Great price, amazing TV. My last purchase was the 75" 950g. Solid TV. Calibration out of box with all Sonys are slim to none. I also have a 55" 900f. My next will be a Sony Oled. Their TVs can be more expensive (unless purchased at ideal opportunities) but they always have solid performance that holds year after year. You're going to enjoy that TV.

I just today got the CX77 LG oled, and just with a few tweaks out of the box looks pretty dang good I’m just in awe of the blacks reminds me of when we used to have picture tubes

I did pretty much the same thing in my media room!😅 Ditched my 1080p Benq projector and got the 85" X900H. The experience is so much better. I loved my pj but the humming and the damn HEAT drove me nuts! A nice big tv is much better suited for for small dedicated rooms like ours. It's a fantastic mid/high end TV from Sony, very agressively priced, love the picture.
Pro tip: set gamma to -2, lower color and sharpness to 48, and black level at -1. Max out brightness and xtended dynamic range for hdr and Dolby Vision (use Dolby Vision dark of course), turn off xtended dynamic range and set brightness to 8 for sdr content. You'll get the best picture possible, with fantastic contrast and black level and minimal blooming in a pitch black or low light environment.
Had the Tv for 3 months and all my tinkering and research has led me to these close to perfect settings. Try them!😉

A couple of weeks prior to Black Friday I picked up a Sony 85" X800H for $1, 799.99. It is a nice TV, with a nice picture. But to my surprise right after BF. I opened up my phone to find a one day of the 85" X900H for just $1, 969.99. Well that was a no-brainer to say the least. Due to the extended holiday return period I was able to pay just $170.00 more and trade UP. Man what a difference. Where the X800H was nice, this X900H is...grrreeaat! The difference between the VA panel vs the full-array is night and day. The brighter panel, deeper blacks, local-dimming, premium build-quality, 120hz and HDMI 2.1 capabilities to name a few are at another level. I'm more than satisfied with this TV and should be able to grow with it in the future for quite some time. I was able to rotate my 65" Sony 65" XBR750D into the game-room, so it was like a double upgrade with just one purchase. Bottom line is...you can't beat Sony!"

Picked up the 85” x900h on cyber Monday for the exact same reasons you mentioned. Just thought it was a great value. Maybe when OLED prices comes down and they make sizes in the 80” realm I’ll move to it.

Just got it 2 weeks ago. Very impressed so far. The black levels, color, hdr and all that look amazing.

My brother got the 55” version of this tv a few days ago to go with his ps5 and its the best tv I’ve seen for £900. Its an all rounder and its future proof with its 2.1 hdmi. He got it in the black Friday sale.
