Actually aim assist changes the sentivity if the person is close or far so yeah it kinda helps

Thing is, making small movements with analog sticks is kinda difficult and aim assist basically temporarily turns your sensitivity down so you can make those smaller movements

I'm a pc player and aim assist is a must in controller. That's not to say that controller players have no aim but aiming is incredibly hard without aim assist.

The only reason that there is aim assist is because controller players just have their thumb to aim using the joystick, but pc players have a much larger range of motion with a mouse, sometimes moving their entire arm with much more control than just a thumb

Playing without aim assist on console is basically like playing with your entire arm and part of your hand taped to your desk

I sometimes forget that i have no aim assist. And when i get used to aiming. I check my settings and see and think, well sh*t. Then i pop off the next 3 games🤣
