Why can't I just have the original style analog triggers back already!?!?! I get that the switch doesn't use analog, but I don't only want these for my switch 😂.

I liked the comparison. Seeing the doyoky on the switch looks nice! And points for the clicks. The joystick just seems outdated but could be nostalgic for others. I never touched the original controller so hopefully my NYXI wizard will feel comfortable. Thanks for the review.

NYXI has improved the Wizard from their first release. Dpad has proper pivot now and face buttons feel better. The sticks are more precise too. *Edit- Right stick is snapping to cardinal directions and dpad gets a bit tiring to use with the mechanical switches they chose to use. Left stick is good. (I would have preferred to have a perfect right stick for aiming because left stick usually doesn’t need that type of precision.)
I don’t recommend getting a Wizard anymore.

I’ve been waiting for this video before I made my purchase. Was leaning more toward the Doyoky one since I heard they reached out to shank mods for opinion and feedback, so makes me glad that they may have implemented some of his suggestions and came out with a better product because of them. Great vid, definitely earned a sub

Wow, great video! I couldn’t wait so I ordered both. Hopefully they come in this week and check out which one I prefer.

I watched this video to help me with my purchase.

I was almost going to go for the Nyxi Wizard Joycons, but this video helped me decide on the Doyoky Joycons. Plus they updated them with Hall effect joysticks. I got the Silver one. May get the other colors too later down the line. Would love an orange one.

I just got the Doyoky myself

Aside from the buttons and dpad being better. The weight itself is something I didn't expect to like over the Wizard.

It being lighter makes it much more suitable for portable play.

This comparison should be the number one video to show to people aiming for gamecube joycons.

I just bought a NYXI controller. Then i see this vid in my recommended and i'm like oh hell no... Did jump the gun?! Thank goodness i got what i did. The NYXI controller has the things that i both wanted and needed. So i'm happy or at least content.
20 work days to get here tho... lol

Just because of the magnetic sticks the nixy are better to me, antidrift is the biggest reason to buy unofficial joycons, id buy both anyways xd

Actually the thumbsticks on the Wizard are my biggest problem with it. Either there is some kind of significant deadzone on mine, or it’s just plain slow, but either way my character movements in Smash Bros are just not cutting it with the wizard. Got me wondering if I just got a defective one because everyone is saying these Hall effect sticks are spose to be amazing? Well my son & my nephew both liked it enough that I ordered two more for them, so I’ll be able to test those out to see if the thumb sticks are still trash. I also have one of the doyoky’s on the way and I have a feeling that one will be the one I like more.

Doyoky actually are releasing the Hall Effect version on August, and they already got the purple center piece if you order now!

NYXI quality control is absolutely awful, 3d printed parts on the inside, mine arrived with broken buttons and throws out random inputs and disconnects. Its awful. Get Doyoky or wait for a better one.

the DOYOKY comes with hall effect joysticks now!!!

For the back paddles, can both controllers have any button assigned to both left and right back paddle buttons. Or only the left can have buttons assigned to the left, and right assigned to the right only?

Just ordered a Doyoky. They have Hall effect now.

My RZ is jumpy on Metroid. I can't scan things. How do I fix this?

I have the nyxi, and get drift and random input without touching the pad :/

As much as I want one of these, both seem to have too many "third party controller" isms for me to bite. We need an OEM version of these. maybe on switch 2?
