A french fighter once said in interview that he trained his grappling in ireland with some really good dudes in a club where connor used to train. Seeing how the strongest guys were really good, he thought that they were better than connor, but they explained him that in reality, connor was the best grappler among them by far. It just shows how much skill you need to have to be at this level.

I remember this, Conor actually had the best 1 or two wrestling rounds ive seen against Khabib, it was so cool to see how well he handled him for a while there, just like it was cool seeing Porier get a guillotine that deep, and Gaethje getting to strike Khabib so much and hard.

Some fighters had their moments against him but that was it, Khabib was a beast man... I also wish Conor would have been more active before Khabib, would have been more competetive then, Conor was insane when he was all in on fighting, before he found other ways to make money

Conor actually defended very well compared to other opponents it just seemed like he didn’t have that same sharpness in him that he did the years before this fight. This was the beginning of the end for him. Wish he would’ve fought him a year or two before.

Even though I don't like Connor, he was a great fighter, but there is an abyss that separates his and Khabib's skill level. Khabib was trained to fight and survive, Connor trained to win fame and money, Khabib fought to maintain his family's honor and pride, Connor to give his wife a better apartment or car. Objectives that cannot be measured.

Khabib’s fight IQ was wizardry.. truly phenomenal and once in a lifetime type of talent he was. The guy never had a scratch in the most gruelling sport ever!

Khabib is on another level. Some guys are elite but they train with him and talk about how good he was. His coach Javier Mendez has trained some of the best fighters ever and he talked about how only Islam could sometimes win a round against him and Belal says he doesn't care when the belt rings, If you're stuck you have to keep fighting until you free yourself even if it takes twenty minutes. He's something else
