Pest Control probably offers one, if not THE, fastest way to get herblore xp on an iron, assuming you already have the secondaries. Unlike prayer xp, the required points for herb boxes doesn't scale with your level. With hard combat diary done, 8 points per roughly 2 minute games, 240 points per hour (no void knight deaths or boat skips), you will receive around 15, 8k banked herblore xp per hour, beating tick-perfect chaos druids or herbiboar at 10k/h and tithe farm at 4, 7k/h.
