PrEP is one of the most exciting advances in HIV prevention that has happened in years. Due to several factors, patients who seek PrEP often have difficulties accessing critical services. To combat this, many jurisdictions have implemented PrEP Telehealth strategies, focusing on using technology to link patients to care. Cody Schafer and Shannon Wood from the Iowa Department of Public Health will share the successes and challenges they have experienced in implementing their Telehealth services in a rural setting. It will also explore factors that are critical to the long-term success of PrEP Telehealth for clients.
