The war to Take Earth Back begins on March 6, 2012 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

Not everyone will survive. An ancient alien race, known only as "Reapers", has launched an all-out invasion leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake. Earth has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and you are the only one who can stop them. The price of failure is extinction.

You are Commander Shepard, a character that you can forge in your own image. You determine how events will play out, which planets to explore, and whom to form alliances with as you rally a force to eliminate the Reaper threat once and for all.

How you wage this war is completely up to you: go into combat with guns blazing or use cover to plan a more tactical assault. Utilize your squad to full effect or take a lone wolf approach. Rain death from a distance or go toe--to-toe with enemies using devastating melee attacks.

Mass Effect 3 will react to each decision you make as you play through a truly unique experience of your own creation. The war for Earth has begun, decide how it ends.

say what you will about the way it ended, but the mass effect trilogy was one of the most enjoyable experiences i've ever had in video games.

7 years later I still watching this trailer, 7 years later I still playing ME, the whole trilogy, one of my favorite games ever

When I was younger I bought ME1 and I thought it was the worst game ever. I was such a novice that I got stuck in the citadel embassies because I didn't know how to get to the citadel tower to continue the game. I ended up just walking around for ages going through the same dialogue with the same characters over and over again so in the end I just gave up and sold it.

Fast forward a few years I'm much more experienced and completely in love with story telling games. I find myself buying ME2 and my reaction after completing it about 7 times was still HOLY FUCKING SHIT I love this game but for some reason I still didnt buy back ME1 so I filled my ME passion with ME2 DLC until ME3 arrived.

Again fast foward a couple years I pick up ME3 play it through, complete it, and I was in complete awe how could a game series be this good? How could the characters in a game mean so much? Make me so happy when they make a joke or when I see them return. After playing through it many more times and getting all the DLC I finally decided to get ME1 back.

I played through the trilogy about 4 times on top of the amount of times that I played each game separately. I have to say how wrong I was about ME1 all those years ago, how blind I was to not realise the masterpiece I was playing and now I can finally say that the ME trilogy is the best story telling game series that I have ever played and probably ever will play.

And so... Commander Shepard is lost but not forgotten. Let us see if in ME4 our next hero can take the expectations and give us those same memories that Shepard once did we can only hope.

Liara's "This is it, isn't it?" and Shepard farewell to Garrus always make me cry like a baby. Really, just remembering and I already am crying.

Even though I joined the party late (a month before ME3 came out), this series holds the title for the most impact a game has had on me. Cannot wait for ME4.

I watched the Andromeda launch trailer and thought it was incredible. I watch this one back again and remember that THIS, was Mass Effect.

I want to replay the game but I can't replay so many times. But then I watch this trailer and it just ... gets me there! This is one of my most favourite things out there

If I understand correctly, this game had a very tight deadline to get all this finished.
Writing, animating, programming, modeling; when I think of just how much this game already had I can't help but feel bad for the workers.
I mean does anyone remember the atmosphere of this game?
