With my eyesight, it would have to be the TFT screen. At least this one doesn't have the integrated rear lights.

Hey Toby👋 I think you may need to review this video as you seem to have confused the R12 with the R 12 NineT on many occasions, you even had the wrong specs on the screen as those are for the R12 not the R12 NineT 🤷

Don't think this does have a different engine from the old R Nine T - no shift cam - so basically it's the same engine in a different frame...

I have the R nine T scrambler and I tested this new R12 Nine T and found the engine, suspension, plus the seat to be smoother . The quick shifter was better than in the other models equipped with boxer engines. Didn’t care so much for the little digital screen, but I recognize it is quite cute piece of modern kit. And it still hasn’t a fuel gauge but I don’t care for it, as in the past all the bikes that I’ve ridden didn’t have that and it never was an issue. We know the medium consumption of the bike, we fill up the tank, put the trip counter to zero and off you go knowing that when that counter hits the 200 miles you’re about to enter into reserve (3 L +-), so it is very simple to control. The headlight pro is a stunning feature, but then it was already good on my R nine T Scrambler.
The retro illuminated buttons is something that riding at night brings us some comfort ( I have it on my Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE), and that fine touch is missing on BMW range and I think they necessarily will evolve in that aspect as it’s not essential but is importantly on a Premium brand.
Nice very well made video. Thank you for that 👍🏻

As @DonaldGreig says, You must have told us about the Shift cam engine about 6 times, but this doesn’t even have it!
It’s still based on the old oil/air cooled 1200 unit from the 2012 era GS before they were liquid cooled.

Great stuff. I'm going to trade my 1250GS for one of these as can't stand the front end on the new 1300GS.

You can get the whizzy wheel with the two clocks if you go for the mobile phone holder option - you can control the Connected App with it.

Are you mixing the R12 up with the R12 nine T? Seems like you keep talking about the R12 but are riding the R12 nine T!

After two test rides, mainly in very dense urban areas, I would say that this bike is wonderful for twisties and country roads but less good in traffic as a daily city commuter. The reason for this is that first and second gears are still quite jerky and on on-off, and the clutch stiff. It also heats up very quickly. But once you get into third and start accelerating, it's a wonderful machine. It feels very light and flickable for its weight and remains planted. I preferred the Guzzi Mandello V100s in the same price range.

I’ve sat on both they are small and your legs are almost doubled up, but they do look nice . Bit pricey for what they are my opinion I reckon bmw had a shed load of old parts to use up, used old r and d engine wise swing arm etc ! 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Was the driver of that car even looking at 9 minutes in?, you would need a bleep machine if it was me riding the bike.

You have the wrong wheel size the r9 12 t has 17inch front and 18 inch rear 120/17 front and 180/55 rear. The other size are for the custom.
