Amtrak Texas Eagle 22 in Austin TX!

For the first time on this channel we deliver an Amtrak video outside of our home region of the Pacific Northwest, in Austin Texas!! Today we see Amtrak Texas Eagle for the first time, putting us back in full P42 territory! Despite many other long distance routes replacing their P42s with ALC42s the Texas Eagle, Heartland Flyer and Sunset Limited retain their P42s at least for now

I love rails. But America seems to be not interested in electrification at all. Sure diesels have their own charm. but its 2025. Still the electrification is less than one percent. Even countries like India have more than 97 percent electrification in railway tracks. I never understood why is America so against it. Anyways. Its a cool train. i enjoyed watching it. But this question always haunts me.
