4 Months ago I had a theory:

Delete this video, because the only people watching it are runners and I do not love running anymore. In my arrogance I forgot to even think about the people who have benefitted from this video, who have written to me saying how this helped them start their running journey. What I failed to realize is that there are people are will never benefit from this video after I delete it, because all I was thinking about was me. I made a colossal mistake deleting this video, one I have regretted for quite a while. I have re-edited the video slightly to fix a few things that I wanted to fix years ago. Frankly, I do not believe this video will reach the hundreds of thousands of views it had reached at one point, but I hope it can inspire just 1 more person, to make my selfish decision feel a little less selfish.

The original post date of this video was 2/17/2023

If you have already seen this video, not much has changed, so no need to watch it.

Again, thank you for taking the time to watch/read all of this,

Scott Schroeder

To my girls,

Mistakes are going to happen, sometimes you can fix them, and sometimes it may be too late. Sometimes a selfish decision doesn't seem so selfish, and sometimes a decision you go back and forth on for weeks or even months can convince you that just because you thought about it for a while means your decision is right. Unfortunately life is just not that simple.

But something funny is that this video was made and posted before La-La was even in Mom's stomach! This video is older than you La-La!

I love you both.

Congrats mate, huge achievement! I started running a while back and eventually got to even just being able to run 5k at all which was huge for me but kept getting injured. Tendonitis first, then multiple instances of shin splints. Unfortunately I think I'm just too heavy right now to be running at 118kg (270 lbs) so I switched to rowing instead. Really hope to get back to running when I drop some weight though because it's just such a great exercise. Good luck with you 6 minute mile and hope your training is injury free!

I remember watching this video last year and inspired me to keep running as I just started my journey. I ended up dropping 50 lbs since then and continue to keep up with my cardio routine while adding some weight training. I'm glad you posted the video again.

Haha running is a drug for us ngl. I recently started and I can’t wait for next day to come so I can increase my pb.

Thank you for your videos. They are an inspiration. I run 3 miles every Saturday. Its not enough but its a commitment. During my 10, 000 ft mountain climb training, I increase my running to 6 miles. Two 2.5 miles during the week in the hot sun. I can tell you the training was not enough. During the rock scramble i literally had to stop every 10-20 steps during the massive altitude gain. At 8000 feet breathing got hard. 10, 000 feet is nothing for the avid mountain climber but for me an average Joe it’s a great goal to have to increase training because you know that you will be hurting bad if you don’t and that scheduled mountain climb sure does help the training. How is the dunking going?

That there is a classic, i see its getting views fast too.
I think i ve had enough rest after the exams, starting tomorrow im gonna research where to invest my money since i have a few grand that i saved up from allowances and that type of stuff throughout the years, and hopefully soon, start going out for runs too, for that i need some better shoes for running and some shorts that have zipper pockets so i dont have to run with holding the keys in my hand, though.
Its such a weird feeling, knowing im entering adulthood.

What is your job? How do you have time to play basquetball at noon and then run at night?

I thought you didn't wanted to be seen as a runner anymore? ;) Just kidding... Loved the video back then, still love it now! Maybe one day I will also start running, for now I will just walk on my short legs ;)))
