Here in the Chesapeake Bay area, I use 24 inches which seems to be the sweet spot. Have considered shortening a little for when the tide really falls out. How shallow do you throw the cork effectively? Shortest leader used?

Most of the time i use H & H shrimp, the water depth here in Mexico (Carboneras) its about 3 to 5 feet deep, with plenty of grass.. In a day you can catch at least 50 trout, Hardly no reds.

I agree completely, I go about 18-20”, never more than 20”.
I like artificial grubs, artificial eels, artificial shrimp, and live shrimp.
When I use arty, I like to put Dr. Juice and or some garlic chartreuse on the tail.
Fall is the best time for this, so let’s pop em up!😎

Fishing the jetties and gas rigs in texas i will use up to 7ft of leader on a popping cork

Never have used one cause I don't really understand using one when I bounce so much from shallow to deeper. Only time I've used a bobber is with the ol slip knots
