Seeing the Talladega College Tornado Band Marching in Charlotte is literally watching a marching “Miracle of God.”

Shine bright, ‘Dega dear! You may be smaller in size but not in heart! To paraphrase the words of Ms. Celie from the Color Purple—you are “beautiful and you are HERE!”

All Glory and honor to the King of Kings and blessed be the name of the Lord, Jesus, for what He has done and is doing now and forevermore . Amen!

Talladega had me at hello, then lost me when the drill started. The band has a more balanced sound this year, which I loved. However, there is room for improvement in terms of blending and writing for the instrumentation. The ballad was solid, but the drill seemed like a collection of ideas that needed better connection. For example, the NC formation was good but seemed more fitting for the band dance than the drill. Also, the dancers need to work on cleaning up a few things, but I appreciated the energy they brought to the field. I also liked how the band broke tempo within the feature song as it is in the radio version; it added a nice touch. The drum majors were very entertaining! However, the band dance felt unnecessary and could have been left out. Overall, it was an okay show. There's potential to improve the cohesion of the drill and blending, but it was a decent showing. ❤️🇺🇸

Well, honesty, they playing music instead of beats. And at least they are doing a drill. Maybe this is the beginning of the new Taladega. Yes, they need work but who doesn't.

The whole name is 3 parts. No harmonizing. I Dont see no woodwinds. You hear all breaths. Everybody run out of breath at the same time. Pitching is bad. Tubas need help. Whole show was just thrown together- WTH was that, and the drill at the end, I'm like😢.
