A friend of mine visited Bali recently, and was stunned at how dirty the place was: Litter all over, beaches clogged with debris, and generally a very casual attitude about hygiene. He doubted folks even washed their hands before serving food, and/or washed dirty dishes all that carefully. Maybe he just got unlucky, but, he really was quite gob-smacked.

one question i have however, we have been going to bali over 25years but regarding canggu where are all the trendy cafes and best places to go.
we always stay around double six in seminyak and take a taxi to canngu, we always get dropped off by echo beach.
we just hate it around there, yet when we see all these youtube videos canggu looks awesome
