“Hinei Mah Tov” at CBST's 50th Anniversary Shabbat (2/10/23)

In honor of CBST’s 50th Anniversary, the CBST Chorus is proud to share an excerpt of Jonathan Comisar’s “Hinei Mah Tov" from last Friday night’s service.

In this vibrant choral setting, Comisar alternates between a pulsating, moving refrain using the words of Hinei Mah Tov (Psalm 133) with original English lyrics that honor the magnificent and diverse community that we are.

We sing, “There are those of us who reach for heaven, there are those who reach for hands. There are those whose faith is rock, and those who question God’s command. And there are those who just don’t know the words, and those who know where they stand.”

As we look ahead to another 50 years and more as a CBST community, may we continue to both question and to lead as we build toward the future. Keyn y’hi ratzon!
