There’s like a mafia couple that has been together for a really long time. They love each other a lot and kill people as their job.

(This is the scene I want)
M- male F - Female

F- who are we killing today who do I get to stab first ??
M pulls out paper
M gets closer to F with paper (but she doesn’t suspect anything because they are lovers)
M- you mean who I’m killing first
M shows paper and pulls out long knife

…………..………………………………….…...………

Another good way to keep a character death sad while feeling fulfilling is either to indicate in some way that, I’d they had the choice of any life to live or anything they could change, they would choose that one anyway. Or by giving them enough time to fulfill a final goal or do something before they die, while the death still being inevitable. You have to be careful not to make character deaths too drawn out if you do it in one of those ways, but if you’re worried that the death won’t feel fulfilling or like it came to a satisfying ending, these are decent ways to do it. But all of the ones in the video are really good

Thanks so much for this! I'm planning to start writing a novel sometime soon, and I wanted the death of a friend to simulate the main character's powers, and I was wondering how to make the effect of the death more powerful
(Btw I'm not evil I am very sad at that idea, but it would add more reality to the situation and provide an opening to a lot of character development)

My character died at 12, unable to escape the show she was forced to act in, no one knew she died in real life, as they just thought she died in the show, then her best friend wakes up from consciousness and the viewers get to decide if he dies or not, him begging to die. The viewers let him die in the end and then it all went silent, the credits rolled as it zoomed out, a shot of both of them beside eachother, blood dripping down their shoulders. Is that good?

There is a character named Dimitri he is a soviet sergeant who gets shot and dies but there is a soldier name Alexei all of his friends died in war by a brutal, way and he’s depressed

They did this with Carnelian in wings of fire! He was just about to have his character arc, and a sudden death that leaves an impact on the cast, more specifically Peril and Moon for up until Peril’s own book!

What i did in my book there was a war going on the character who died was shot with a poison arrow the effect has left his blnd best friend broken she was the commander in the war when she heard her best friend who was next to her hit the ground she left her husband take over for control while she took her revenge
