Did you know spider mites are… ⤵️

more drawn to Alocasias and Calatheas than other plants?

As annoying as it is, you can manage them by:

- washing your leaves off frequently (make sure you get the undersides where they hang out!)

- cutting off any overly infested leaves

- introducing beneficial insects like predatory mites and ladybugs into your growing areas 🐞

- or if you don’t use beneficial insects, make sure you spray regularly with an insecticide that’s gentle on your plants and the environment

On a brighter note, how CUTE is this variegated Alocasia bambino?!

It’s been a dream plant of mine for a while now 🤩

Luckily this little one doesn’t have mites and only lost a couple leaves to travel stress. She just put out this AMAZING half moon 🌙

What do you do to keep spider mites away from your favorite Alocasias?

Cheers,
- Jess 🌿
