Back to School: My First Week in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico: Attending TEFL

Is English your first language? Have you ever thought about traveling abroad? Have you ever thought about how you would do differently if ever given a second chance at life? If you said, "Yes" to any of these questions, you are not alone. So many people reach retirement age and feel that they have totally missed out on the finer things in life. Some even feel they have been given a raw deal and cheated out of opportunities to make their mark in society or leave a legacy for generations to come.

I'm here to encourage you. It's never too late to push the reset button on life and find your happy place. Baby boomers and late bloomers are so fortunate in these times of uncertainty. We have life experiences, insight, patience and the fortitude to stick to our guns. We have investment savings and expendable cash flow which affords us options to take strategic risks.

You will notice, I used the phrase, "strategic risks." Before making rash decisions, one wants to count the cost and weigh out the pros and cons. That's exactly what I did before packing my bags, enrolling in TEFL and heading to Mexico.

TEFL is an intensive 4-week training program which teaches native English speakers how to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). In this video, I share my first week experiences.
