Does your skid steer have a float function so the brush cutter will stay to the ground or do you have to adjust it every time the ground contours

Good morning from Fly Ohio! Clearing land has come a long way!

Out front mowing is great.

Another reason to cut trees down a bit above ground level is if you want to remove the tree stump, a taller stump will give more leverage to push and pull against. This can help loosen the stump in the soil and make it easier to remove.

My Poppa used to leave the stumps on the bigger trees high when clearing….. gave the cows something to rub up on. Great video as always Josh!

Thanks for sharing and taking us along.

Cut tree high for skid and later excavator as it helps digging out with it's own leverage when pulling.

Just got a tree puller for my skid steer… so much better than the chain saw and stumps

Make the trail twice as big/wide as you currently think you need.

Josh, excellent job on the mowing and showing that a small chainsaw battery powered can get small jobs done ✅ 😮😊❤

I just came across this video. I must’ve missed it when you released it. I don’t like to see you down in that deep woods like that by yourself, buddy. I know you’re safe, but you never know. Take care. Have fun.

It is tough to reclaim some forgotten land. I have 3 acres that way and have to rent something like that. Wow. Might hire it out. Time will tell.

you could've left the brush cutter down in the low area and gone to get the grapple. then you have them both close to switch back and forth. that's what i do when i'm gonna be in one area for a while doing work on the property.

I just had a thought, when you have the skid steer with the tracts you won't pop a tire with the sapling stump you just cut with the Big Foot cutter, Tri-L.. I'm 666 like, man that's concerning. I had a customer once, just got out of Church on A Sunday, older lady, She was really excited (rejuvenated by Church..OK) Her bill was 6.66 $, we had a laugh over that! Anyway, lot's of hard work Josh! wooo!!

Josh, people are resistant to change. Battery technology is to the point that handheld stuff doesn't make sense to be gas anymore. New cars will all be electric in about ten years... they can complain all they want but it's progress like when we moved from horses to combustion engine powered transportation. You can be conservative but be forward thinking at the same time.

Great video Josh. I made a comment on a prior video, about battery powered tools. I like battery powered tools my self. The problem I have, is the big power banks inside of a lawn care companies trailer. I live 60 miles from DC. The Lawn Care, and leaf removal guys here, are not making money anymore. The township of Alexandria VA, has out lawed gas powered leaf blowers, and weed eaters. The only thing they can do is raise the price for the job. It's not making much sense to me, when the people doing the work are not very good with English, and the language barrier takes effect. It's not a good day if a lawn trailer catches on fire, next to a 10 million dollar home, and know won is licensed to drive.

Hey Josh thank you for the video and my friend bought a battery-operated leaf blower I tried and I don't like it I like the gas operated woo

Does the skid steer have enough hydraulic flow where you could add a forestry mulcher to it and do like some of the other channels I watch do and turn the downed sapplings into chips and mulch for good ground carbon?
