Thank you Kirk for this. JH is one of my favorite teachers. I prayed so much to God to bless me with a good teacher, because I was so scared to listen to just any. And out of nowhere, he just popped up and I could feel God telling me, here he is.

I heard this wise wisdom from a preacher. “You can’t expect your Christian children to be raised by Caesar and then be surprised when they turn out Roman.” As Parent’s we live our lives with a God 1st perspective. In all things we should openly seek Him. We should talk about Him all the time and model how He tells us to. At the end of the day, we are responsible for planting all the seeds, that is where our role ends. After that we step back and let them decide to let God grow those seeds. ❤️

What about when parents tried to teach them about God then as they got 18 and out of the house they turn transgender and they won’t listen to us at all. A child who loved to listen to the Bible and sing worship songs now doesn’t want to hear about God? What do we do as parents who want their child to come back to God? This has been such a heart wrenching journey. I’ve prayed and prayed.

Amen ! Good subjects this morning. Thank you. Even as our children are older you still need these reminders on being parents and grandparents. God bless.

Awesome conversation!! Loved this, "be as Jesus would be to them, show them mercy and grace; but also discipline and correction". This is such great advice! Sometimes we are ready to punish our children but I have learned that if we have grace undeserved and unreserved from Jesus, we too can extend grace to others, especially our kids. I have seen it build my relationship with my child, of course with God's wisdom to find a balance that includes discipline as well. God bless! 🙏❤

My dad was suppose to be the leader of the house. I was beaten by my mom to the point I would stop breathing . I don’t believe in physical punishment. It can get out of control. I was beaten ! Now us kids age messed up !!

Funny and informing! So true about where you are born in the family. I was one of two middle children. I hosted and went to Moms In Touch groups all through our kids growing up. Thank you for this! ❤️

Don't let them get what they want. If you spoil your child you don't love them

That there my friend is a hair helmet.
A wig, a toupee, a soft top, a rug, a tarantula, a wax buffer, insulation, a mop-top.

be patient be kind do over burden them love them and most importantly do not spear the rod its that simple, alot of parents dont hit kids but God tells us it's the right thing to do, now this doesn't mean abuse them because that's wrong but don't spear the rod
