January
really bad way to start 2023,
Do like Slow Down & COME UP but binary
is what took this song down, also got me is 13th worst of the year
And levitate is my 10th worst of the year. Rest of the songs were mediocre
February
Acutally a huge redemption form January!
Avg score of 85.45/100 (VERY high).
March
Pretty mediocre month.
Avatar was the best by a long shot & nobody else
was the worst (42/100). Used to be freedom (31/100)
but grew on me a lot
April
2nd best month of this year,
Worst is In My Head (40/100).
Falling became my 8th fav of all time & I love To The Top, Moments, Beam & a ton others I’m lazy to list
May
2nd worst month this year.
Spark, retrophobic & emotions killed this month
Only 100/100 song was If I Disappear
June
Used to be 3rd worst month but wow opinions changed on this one
Set Me Free was 11/100 but grew to my 4th fav this year.
Signs & back for more are terrible but loads of 100/100 songs saved this.
July
Same story as set me free.
Spirit was 35/100 then grew to my 3rd fav of the year.
Demo version became top 10 least fav but
AWOL & Spirit upkept this month.
Quite a chunk was over 75/100 too
August
Another mediocre month.
Out of here lowered the avg score too

There’s like 4 songs from this month in my top 25 least fav.
Cant You Feel It, Illusion & like 3 others saved this from being worse though
October
Could’ve been worse but a few songs from this month grew on me,
Such as Annabelle’s tea party & Freedom. Overall not bad. A few letdowns though

My thoughts on this years months
January started off bad. Even though I don’t mind generic trap music, some of the stuff this month produced was like putting generic trap music into a blender.
Best of the month: binary 98/100
Worst: come up 6/100
Then we move on to February, an amazing month in the history of NCS. Completely changed my outlook on how this year was gonna go, since NCS brought back og backgrounds and the music this month was amazing, some stuff making it to my bo2022.
Best: reality 100/100 ( 3rd best song of 2022 )
Worst: ray of light 32/100
Next up we have March, and to be honest, it wasn’t that bad. Some stuff in this month was overhated, like freedom, and we saw the return of a lot of og style music and such. If NCS kept this kind of music the whole year, it probably could’ve been one of my top 3 favorite years on ncs, but of course they didn’t.
Best: avatar 95/100
Worst: running out of time 21/100
April was surprisingly even better than March, and due to this, I was really looking forward to the rest of 2022. There were some songs here that made my top 20 and top 10 of 2022
Best: beam 100/100 ( top 5 of the year )
Worst: honestly don’t know, maybe to the top 26/100
Then, thjngs took a turn, again. After such a good three months, NCS 2022 was feeling like the best year ever. However, Neurofunk, screechy Color bass, and dying wood ruined that perspective. To tell you the truth, May 2022 was probably one of the worst months on NCS ever. Over half the songs were below 40/100, and the good ones weren’t even top 20 material. I don’t know why I was expecting so much more from some of the returns of these artists, because they absolutely disappointed me.

Then, June arrived. It started off nice, way better than May, and overall was a decent month. There was some hints of May still in there, with some songs having a similar style that I disliked but it was fine. Overall a lot of bangers were also released this month, like A day at sea, when I’m gone, signs, feel, etc. my brother especially loved this month
Best: a day at sea 93/100
Worst: back for more 0/100
Now we move onto July. Now this month feels especially nostalgic to me for reasons I don’t know of, and same goes for august, and overall it was a contreversial month, with many hyped songs turning out to be disappointments, and random old artists, returning out of nowhere introducing new genres and old circles, like faster and me times two.
Best: me times two ( best of 2022 ) 100/100
Worst: nobody 13/100
August was even better than July! Honestly I was looking up at 2022 again, and even though a lot more bad songs were being produced this year, I really enjoyed a lot of the music put out in this region of the year. It honestly felt like I was listening to a brand new NCS, with tracks like Caramel, would you be waiting, and don’t know why, also nostalgia week was a huge let down, and honestly the other August tracks felt more nostalgic than nostalgia week itself

September. Wow. This month was, amazing and confusing at the same time. Honestly idk what to say other than it was a great transition from august to October, a month starting a new age of NCS ( or so I thought )

October was genuinely a phenomenal, almost being comparable to February. Tracks in this month were so diverse and well made, and everything felt crisp and polished. My least favorite song of the month was one I don’t even hate

Worst: die 4 U 35/100
November switched everything over again, however. In fact, it might have been comparable to months like May 2022. Why? It ruined pink circle forever on NCS. Now, whenever I see a pink circle, I’m usually disappointed or not wanting to even listen to the song. Firstly, I don’t get why NCS released so much neurofunk in this month, maybe it was to support the growing trend of unlistenable songs, and I’m not saying neurofunk is bad, but this month ruined neurofunk for me too because of how the artists manipulated it to make it too unique.
I’m not saying thats a bad thing, but with a genre like neurofunk, releasing songs constantly with 0 melody, random beats and random guys with deep voices moaning, you can’t really get anywhere.
Best: back to you 100/100 ( top 10 in 2022 )
Worst: wizkid 0/100
Finally we have December. Now I’m tired of giving lectures on the ups and downs of 2022 so let me just say, this month was a great year to the end of 2022, but unfortunately December and November might start a new era of poorly made songs on NCS, as since NCS’ viewership is dying, they might switch to releasing tunes other dead labels are releasing, and worst of all, they started SHORTS. I rest my case
