HOW I GOT A 7 IN IB MATHS II PDF Notes + Study Strategies

Hi everyone! In this video I cover my tips on how to get a 7 in IB maths. This advice is based on my experience of Standard Level (SL) Maths in International Baccalaureate, but a lot of these study strategies focus on maths generally, and thus are applicable to any level of maths you're currently taking. I cover maths resources, past papers, note taking and exam skills.

Below you'll find this video's timestamps as well as a google drive link with my notes from the IB in word and PDF formats.

Note: during my IB I also used paper notes which are not included in the document so please don't take these as conclusive summaries of everything you need to know. The syllabus has also changed somewhat since I graduated so there will be content in the notes that's no longer part of the syllabus, and probably some new elements of the syllabus which aren't included. As a final note, I'm also just a student, not a maths teacher, so although I proof-read these notes, I can't guarantee there aren't mistakes. So for all these reasons I recommend you use these as a summary or as inspiration for your own note taking and always make sure you consult other sources.

I’m taking igcse foundation math right now (I didn’t really have a choice) and I’m taking SL IB maths next year and this is really worrying🧍‍♂️

Did you take notes digitally or did you use notebook? Because adding stuff on notebook is a problem with space and editing stuff messes my notes. If you digitally take notes, then you you use Google doc or your iPad app?
