While changing the original fire water and grass trio for starters sounds nice, it's a very common trope for fangames/rom hacks. I think it'd be cool if you choose 3 starters from different regions and give them a special starter form like the hisuian forms

use a new type triangle other than the fire-grass-water for the starters, for example, fairy-fighting-steel
