Yes, we can control DMX using Resolume Arena. And this video answers second question, which is "how far" ?

In this video we will learn about using DMX via ArtNet using Resolume Arena. We will star with understanding the Artnet and patching of the whole rig. Then we dive into making a custom fixture profile for a basic 8 channel LED par, make interesting pixel chase. Then we take control of this interesting fixture by SHEHDS and unlike boring led wash, we take the control of pixels and make "anything" that resolume can do. And we all kno resolume can do a lot ;)

Then, we dive into making advanced fixture with even more channels, such as Mini Moving Spots. This is where we start realizing the limitations of Resolume Arena and go back to Lighting Desk, lol. But, knowing the limit is good. And resolume truely have many pixel mapping scopes that VJ's can use to extend to lighting fixture. Especially for LED Pixel Strips, resolume would be a monster!

I've not checked your other videos but I was looking for a tutorial on how to set up an artnet to dmx512 device, and then use it with Resolume. In this video it appears that you have already set it up so it didn't help.
