I am comparing the Movie "Snow White" picture image and sound, after having watched it in 3 different cinemas and formats. but in the same multiplex. Xenon Light with Dolby 7.1 sound. Laser light with Dolby Atmos sound. And IMAX with Imax immersion sound. Which format came out the best? Watch this video to find out

What a good and enjoyable summary Fred. Thank you. Simon and I wondered about the different colour temperatures of xenon and laser lamps when looking at the 35mm and UHD home video of Aliens a while back. Then again with The Terminator I think. It's an interesting subject and not something people who haven't had experience of film projection are likely to consider. You've confirmed to me that we were thinking along the right track and that the light source can make a noticeable difference to the final projected image. I've long suspected many televisions are causing colour variation trouble because so many comments on my own channel cite strange colouring from their 4K UHD discs that aren't present on my own system. I think some television backlights may have a blue tint to them and that's causing this particular issue.

Good video, expanding on an interesting thought. I remember similar rambling from the post. Were carbons better than Xenon light?? Anyone remembers CARBONS? We used to collect the copper and sell it. Hate to think what it would be worth these days.
