Violin Sonata in G minor (original composition, 2018)

Now that I have a bit more free time I thought I'd start uploading some of my older pieces. I'm going through my old Musescore files and importing them into Dorico but it's still quite a tedious process cleaning up the scores.

This particular piece is from late 2018. I was studying sonata form at the time and this is my first attempt at a complete movement in the form. It does still have a few unusual qualities. For example the B theme in the exposition is in A major instead of D major.

There are also some clear compositional issues with the piece, but I thought I'd upload it in its original form. The voice leading could definitely be better in a lot of places, and the accompaniment of the B theme is a bit harsh. After uploading I've also noticed a couple of mistakes in enharmonic notation. The piece is more of a study in sonata form than a compositional masterpiece but I'll leave it like that. No further movements will be composed either.
