Il mercenario. Ennio Morricone

Показать описание
On the northern side of the Mexico-United States border, Sergei "Polack" Kowalski (Franco Nero), a well-groomed and greedy mercenary, attends a circus performance where he recognizes the show's lead rodeo clown as Paco Roman (Tony Musante). During the performance, Kowalski reminisces on how he and Paco fought together as revolutionaries against the Mexican Government. Curly (Jack Palance) is Kowalski's flamboyant American rival.
Original soundtrack composed and orchestrated by Ennio Morricone and directed by legendary Bruno Nicolai. A lesser-known Morricone, written for an obscure western, but right up there with some of the maestro's best for much bigger movies. A number of tunes have that spooky "whistler" style of writing that we love from Morricone – spare whistling over darker orchestrations – in ways that create some spare and wonderful passages that are especially great. Other tracks are a bit fuller, and more dramatic – the bolder western modes of the 60s. This is the theme "L'arena".
