Of course Wawrinka takes it back with a relatively straight elbow and he has the best one hander. Elbow bent or straight is a personal preference. Elbow bent allows for more wraparound and a “wristier” stroke, elbow straight allows for a better use of the big muscles.

you should also use the power of your torso, which should rotate in concert with your arm movement. The rotation should initiate with a partial extension of the back leg.

Im a female and Im not supposed to do this but i do this think where I start with two hands and finish through with one hand once the ball has made contact. Ive always felt like it propelled the ball faster, and my other hand was weighing it down. I prefer backhand because of it. 😅 When i start with new coaches they always get mad lol
