I bought the Droid Turbo on launch day.  I ended up getting a Note 4 last week.

I actually get a lot more time away from the wall outlet with the Note.  Samsung gives you 50% an accessory off just for registering the device, so you can get an extra OEM stock battery with a seperate charger for ~$25.  Or for the same money you can get Anker's 2 batteries and an external charger package.

The Note 4 is just as easy to use one handed when I need to.  The gesture to shrink the screen actually works really well, making it an even more manageable size than the Turbo screen.  Then when you're using 2 hands, watching a video, or playing a game, you have that big beautiful screen.

The cameras aren't even comparable. It has expandable storage. Multiwindow can be extremely useful.  I mean it obviously has a lot of extra features you may or may not use.  I'm happier with the Note 4 now.  I really want a Gear VR too lol.

I would prefer a thicker phone with a bug battery over a thinner phone with smaller battery any day of the week. My current phone which is a galaxy s5 has a zerolemon 8500mah battery case installed and I simply can't go back to the stock battery

Guys, when reviewers say "This has better battery life" that's cause they pretty much pushed the phone to the limit, games, videos on netflix, camera tests and lots of apps all at once. I have an HTC ONE M8, I honestly never though I could get it here where I live (Mexico) but it has AWESOME battery life, I can go to school, listen to music, chat with my girl, do web browsing and lots of social networking before coming home, which is basically what almost everyone does, and after 18 hours of use (From 6 to 12 pm) it still has like 20 percent left, and it's a smaller battery. By the way, way to go guys! Mark is cool so keep the good comments going!

Better battery and better phone size, the turbo would be a no brainer

I have had my Turbo for about a month, currently getting 2 days on a single charge with medium-heavy wifi use, brightness up all the way. Also feels great in the hand, not too big.

Hey technobuffallo, for what its worth, this is the most fair and balanced review I have seen in some time. In fact it may be the most fair and balanced review I have ever seen. You managed to include opinions without thrashing either of the competitors. That is the kind of review I have been looking for, what you like, what you don't like, and why. For a power user like me, any of the little things like "you can change the battery on the Note 4", are already known. Most of the quibling in these comments includes something about battery or storage. That seems rather petty. If you don't use much storage and don't get to a charger very often then your choice is fairly simple. However if like me you use a lot of storage and have access to the convenient charging station or wall jack most of your day the choice becomes which feels better to you or which screen size do you like.

You forgot about the 2 power saving modes on the Note 4, does the Turbo have anything like that?

I personally used the Droid X, the Droid Bionic, and the Droid 4. Once I switched to the Note 2 that was the end of Motorola for me. Now I have a Note 4 and the only thing I still want is the developer edition. There are just a handful of things that a rooted device can do that I really miss.

Anyway thanks again for a great job on a comparison review.

Good video Mark. I remember when you made video's with a robot voice. You have improved!

Just a heads up. The Note 4 will also display the clock with an air gesture as the Turbo does. You can't have a lock on the screen though. It must also lay on a flat surface. Great video! Keep them coming!

The note 4 also has similar features to dismiss calls, text, and way more. But I usually go for Motorola but I actually like my Samsung Note 4. The battery life is amazing I can go 2-3 days without charging my phone if I don't really use it I find that impressive. Even when I heavy use it lasts about a day and half. Also has super fast charging which is awesome for when you're on the go. As long as a phone can last at least 24hrs I'm pretty much sold lol.
