2024 Gold Glove Winner | Best Plays of Matt Chapman's 2024 Season

The San Francisco Giants signed Matt Chapman prior to the 2024 MLB season and since then, Giants fans have had the privilege of seeing the Platinum Glove winner make some truly spectacular plays at third base. Here are his best of the 2024 season so far!

At the time I write this, Chaptain America is a Gold Glover yet AGAIN. And I'm so happy he's going to be with us for a while. Probably the best pickup we've made in years, and Buster helped make it happen. You can't build a World Series team from just two people, but it's a hell of a great start.

His throws are almost bizarre. Quick release and no arc. My favorite 3B for various reasons

I know Chapman, Arenado and Machado get compared a lot for their great defense. I’d argue Chapman has the best arm of the three. Arenado has the best footwork but the ball out of the hand of Chapman is nuts

And he's 31. Good, glad to have him, resign him for now. I'll get excited again for talent the Giants can rely on for years to come. Matos, Ramos, Fitzgerald, Bailey, Wisely, Luciano, Harrison, Birdsong. These folks, while having room for improvement, have the potential to be Forever Giants. Train these guys and retain them.
