Very nice. I've been setting my elite to 250° to get the wood smoldering and manually setting it lower once the smoke is billowing. Now I know that there is no need to do that extra step. Thanks for the tip!

I think you guys should maybe put the timer and hold feature as an option on the smaller smokers, not just the amerique. That however would not stop me from buying one of the smokettes

Had my Cookshack Original Smokette for almost 20yrs andthe thing is bullet proof except the Thermostat has failed. Since my unit is so old, is the replacement part compatabile? My wife bought me a new smoker for Fathers Day and I had her return it because the Smokette is Military grade, but pricy. If the replacement part is not compatabile, I'm willing to buy a new one at a preferred custome discount. Is that possible?
