Sad that that country back then is OVER! People were patriotic and family oriented. Today it's all about money and 'what's in it for me' attitude.

The first scenes of the soldiers marching is Old Ft Russell nor FE Warren AFB in Cheyenne WY. the houses in the background are Officers quarters. McArthur lived the as well as Pershing and many others. I was Stationed there in 1968. SAC missile base.

Oh, wow, I inherited and rebuilt my Grandmother’s Esty Player Piano, and this original QRS word music roll was included in the bunch. I think Cohan made the recording himself, and, man, could that piano belt it out!

It's nice to know that except for the singing key, James Cagney got Cohan's way of singing right.

If we had weighed in sooner, say in 1914, we could have forced a peace that would not have destroyed Germany and set the stage for all the horrors of Nazism and WW2.

I believe that Cohan wanted Nora Bayes to introduce this song to the public.

Rousing lyrics, but how did George Cohan sing this song on the radio, during
WW I, i.e. 1917 to 1918, when practically no one owned a radio before 1920?

Here's an updated version of this great Amurikun patriotic song "Over there"...

"Over Here"

Over Here
Over Here
Send the word, send the word over Here

They're coming over (Islamic terrorists, Central American Mayan migrants with measles, TB, bubonic plague etc), they're coming over
And they won't stop to they've replaced us...

Over here!
