This is a different parrarel universe of borderlands 😢 it broke my heart seeing my most favorite game like this

So let me get this straight, as somebody who has grew up with the games and loved every part of them.
-Not gonna go too deep into casting, because other comments already did. Just gonna add: why change Tiny Tina, when her voice actress is IRL Tiny Tina
-When exactly is this set? Roland is alive, but others are like 20-years-after-Borderlands3 old. And I'm not saying that just because actors, Marcus has his BL3 hairstyle, Lilith has her after-BL2 powers and also Mouthpiece is there
-We see Marcus's van from BL1, so where is Mordecai and Brick. And if it is set in the BL1 timeline, rest of the trailer doesn't make sense
-If this is set during BL2, where are others. Where is Axton, Salvador, Zer0, Gaige and Maya. How the hell is there Krieg without Maya
-Only way this could make sense is, if this is set right between Roland prisonbreak and Angel Rescue, as sidequest with these five characters and there was not that much time in between
-If it is really set during BL2, don't tell me they just took out one of the best gaming villans of all time and replaced it with this Star Wars dropout
-What the hell did they do to my favorite game robot CL4P-TP. Don't get me wrong, I love Jack Black and I think he could be a claptrap, but what I saw in the trailer is not claptrap
It seems, this will be loosely based on BL, borrowing only setting and character design, but not anything that made Borderlands what it is. Only thing that looks to be correct is Kreig, but that can yet be revealed to be same as rest.

TL;DR: Movie looks loosely based on IP, after screenwriter smoke too much and watched 15 min youtube recap of Borderlands.

So let met get this straight:

When casting a 27 year old character they thought a 54 year old actress made sense?
When casting a character around 30, they thought a 65 year old actress made sense?
When casting a character who's primary defining trait is that she is "tiny" they thought casting an average sized actress made sense?
When casting a serious powerful soldier type they thought that casting teeny tiny obnoxious Kevin Heart made sense?

At least it looks like they got Krieg right...

Was the goal here just to piss off the fans and make the movie flop? Will Hollywood never learn that if you spit in the face of the source material, the fans of that material don't give you money?

PS: Are female arms now "taboo"? In the original designs, all of these characters are wearing clothing that is appropriate for a warm climate. I wouldn't even all any of them sexualized, its just not wearing leather jackets or layered shirts in the desert kinda makes sense. But don't worry, at least they made sure to sneak in some gramma cleavage at 1:17. I'm so confused as to what drove the decision making in this film.

When I heard about Borderlands being made into a movie, aside from the original voice actor for BL, I thought Charlie Day would have been a great voice for Claptrap. He’s neurotically funny.
