the tax system needs a major overhaul. Those earning $200k+ a year don't need a $9k tax cut. You know who does need that money? Jonothan who is working two jobs and is just barely keeping a roof over his head. Single parents struggling to keep food on the table for them and their children. Every Federal politician doesn't need it. The Gina Rhinehart's and the Clive Palmer's of Australia don't need it. Give that tax cut to the people who need it.

How about the politicians take a pay cut and start using their own money for flights and accommodation they put down as 'work'. There are people struggling as it is and all they are worried about is building more houses and people buying them, how about helping the middle and lower class people so we can atleast get by without taking 2 full time jobs

Just a hint, everything the gov has done in relation to home prices is to increase them. In the early 90s, my first home was 4 times annual income with 14.5% rates. Late 90s, second home was 5 time income at 10% rates. Now they are 12 times income thanks to the RBA and Gov. The gov is not doing anything to help the people. The gov is helping itself by increasing the price = results in you paying increasing in taxes.

I understand splitting the bill with the boys at the pub or an uber but buying a house with mates sounds like a horrible idea. Don't see how it's possible to even think about starting a family or anything

So, the low and middle income workers, the ones paying for the doll bludgers will lose their offset but doll bludgers will get more for not working. Yeah that's fair. God I wish we were able to allocate where our tax money went, Id love to see how little went to unemployed doll bludgers that have been on the system forever. Theyed get nothing.

- People should be limited to the amount of properties they can buy as an individual. The money makes money thing is unfair imo.

- The small business offsets were something I found to be a fair part of the tax system for small businesses doing the right thing, If nothing takes it's place than I have lost a little more faith in the tax system.
