I am very sorry I made a few mistakes in English when talking. At 1:12 , I also had a mistype of "perspective", I wrote "prospective" instead. At 1:52 , I missed B in "republics". It's too late to take the video off, correct it and repost it again.

This is the link for the Part 2 of my video - Growing up in Leningrad:

Hi Olga - you replied to my comment on Yeah Russia. Your unusual username intrigued me so I took at look at your channel! I'm not into fell running, but this video interested me - and I'll check out part 2.

I'm a lot older than you so it has long interested me what life was like in the USSR. Thanks for sharing!

Привет Ольга! I saw your comment on Katya's channel so clicked your link. I was born and bred in Blackburn so many of the places you vlog about are familiar to me. I left in 2005 for the north-east. My No. 1 Son lives in Fulwood with his family.

In September 2019 I drove to SPb, also taking the Sapsan to Moscow. It changed my life. Mother Russia has taken me to herself and I am desperate to go back but of course Covid and the present madness have conspired against me. I'm learning Russian with an online tutor (also in SPb) via iTalki. I'm 7 years older than your Dad!

Love your story! In England some people have allotments too. Are they similar to Russian dachas?

Wow, very interesting story Olga! Your mother's premonition about your father who escaped that fall in the mountains is really spooky! Great stories about the comunism era. Living in Romania, I know so good what you're speaking about! Cool clip, fully watched with great appreciation Olga! Cheers! ✌️

David, I am sorry I am struggling to sort out the sound but I added a few more pictures to help narrate the story.
