80s digital watches has been a favourite of my viewers, so to celebrate 5k subscribers I thought doing a broader review of the whole period of 80s digitals from Casio, Seiko, Citizen and more would be a fun one. I’ve used the inspiration of the classic 80s :”Now that’s what I call music” compilation albums as a theme for the video, with each different type of watch representing a track on the list. We will cover Ana-digi watches, sports watches, nerdy calculator and computer watches, early sensor watches, melody alarms, (su-su-susudio ) pseudo-analogs the rise of the g-shock and many more. Lots of fun making this one and weaving in plenty of 80s references. I hope you enjoy the video!

Track 1: Wake me up before you go-go 0:40
Track 2: Best of Both Worrlds 02:15
Track 3: Su-su Pseudo analog 04:37
Track 4: Running up that hill 07:08
Track 5: Computer Love 12:09
Track 6: Pac-man Fever 14:06
Track 7: Sharp dressed man 16:42
Track 8: Walkin’ on Sunshine 18:23
Track 9: Its raining men 19:15
Track 10: When the going gets tough (the tough get going) 21:02

I have a Timex m-433 LCA 1982, cool watch.
42 years old and still ticking!

It is unbelieve how many watches were launched and how diverse they were during the 80s.
Some of them are like no others, no compromises, just betting to be really different instead of playing a safe move.
I remember that the Caso Digipaper was the coolest thing you can wear as a teen back then, and I don't have it.

The Casio Amw-320 "Arnie" was briefly shown in this video, featuring the module 358. That module was everywhere for almost 30 years.

I was a kid in the 80's there are so many watches in this video I remember. I had a Timex Ironman and a Timex analog/digital but I don't remember the model. I always wanted the Casio with the thermometer but never got one. Great video.

This is quickly becoming my favourite channel... And my mechanical watches are starting to gather some dust 😊. I just wish your videos were longer! Maybe I'll just play them at half speed...

I love seeing the Timex Atlantis get some love, it's weird that it's so forgotten given it's still around...

As a child of the 70s and 80s i remember my love of watches starting with the emergance of more affordable digital watches becoming available and kids at school having them ( i remember a brand called Beltime being popular). But because they were still more expensive i had Sekonda mechanical wind up watches. I actually remember purposely overwinding a sekonda in thr hope my parents would get me a digital watch

What a fantastic summarization of the good old 80's. 👍 The Video is going back about half a century but by watching it feels like walking right into the future. It's stunning what technology was developed decades ago, you would never presume - great work 👍👍👍
