Learning from this video : No matter where you live, you NEED A LOT OF MONEY to be happy. Period.

People who spent their childhood and teenage years in independent houses often find it difficult to adjust to living in flats or apartments.

Did you see the irony, the kids from chaul choose to go to a tier 1 city, the kids from ncr choose to go to a remote place. Eventually its all about change which is constant

Everybody's so after bashing Banglorian couple lifestyle, nobody noticed that the guy have been to chawls in Mumbai and have lost parent at young age and he and his wife managed to study and work hard to be able to afford 65+ LPA with their hard work and are happy and content with their life, you are no one to comment whether they are unfit or not, doing good or not.
And my dream life living Dehradun guys, kudos to be living in nature...

The dehradun couple are literally living my dream life. Financially comfortable, not under peer pressure, away from all that social drama, close to nature (the mountains & valleys), a peaceful life.

No offense to the bangalore couple and those who idolize that life.

I am from Dehradun born and brought up here only! But personally I think every individual is different we can't say who is happy or not, we can't set a standard of life in hills that are good and life in metro cities are bad.
I feel both are doing great in their life and most importantly as a couple they both want the same thing not like one wants to live in the remote and the other wants to stay in the city. And I think this is a sign of happy marriage & understanding each other's needs.

2 years during the COVID WFH days, I used to drive to Dwara and places nearby from Dehradun and spent hours lying in the shade of Pine Trees playing soft Indi-Pop music (Lucky Ali, Euphoria, Silk Route, Agnee, Ankur Tewari, Bombay Vikings etc.) on my small speaker or reading Ruskin Bond books. Sometimes I didn't even care if there was food in my belly.

The Bangalore couple is so pure and talking so candidly about their raw emotions and wants.

First 3 mins, already shows the stark contrast of Bangalore & Dwara couples. While the Blore couple is sitting with laptops, the dwara ones are relaxed and in tune :) Nothing against anyone, to each is own, but more and more we chase, less content we will be ;) I'm a Bangalorean and I know what I'm saying :D

One side of me wants to live in a tier 1 city and enjoy all lavishness, food, activities etc. But the other part of me wants to have a happy and peaceful life in the mountains.

The child's kiss was cute. I would personally choose the rural area with a remote job as I can enjoy the slow pace of life with my family.

couple living in village are more healthy and slim which is good and also pollution free. couple in bangalore feels that they are enjoying but eventually leading an unhealthy life style due to more spending and bad food habits. its really difficult to train our brain after 40 years to have a healthy lifestyle along with less spending habits. people adopt at lesser age are blessed

Please interview these folks again when some time has passed. It would be nice to see how their journeys/thinking has changed. Specifically, it would be useful to see how the Dehradun folks address the schooling issue.

Some facts:
1. Non uttarakhandis can't buy 1000 square yard rural land. In this case the guy seems to be local.
2. The rates of the land mentioned are nowhere close to reality.
3. This video seems to be motivated by the agenda of wint wealth to stop people buying expensive real estate in big cities and instead divert it to mutual funds and stock market.
This comes from someone who has stayed in both the places, Bangalore and Uttarakhand.

I absolutely loved this video. Both the couples were sorted and shared their thought processes. Loved the contrasting aspects of a small village and a city like Bengaluru.

A couple from Mumbai move to Bangalore for better opportunities. This is not a trivial move. This shows how much Mumbai has deteriorated in the past 20 - 30 years. This should ring a bell. I am sure this hurts the egos of a lot of Mumbaikars.

I am from Dehradun and I live and work in Bangalore. This was very relevant for me thanks. If Doon had jobs I would not have continued to work in Bangalore. I hope i can go back to Doon to live closer to my family without worrying about Money.
