YAMAHA G1 WILL IT START????

Trouble shooting video on trying to start a barn find purchase. 80's model G1. 2 stroke with questionable fuel system.

I had a G-1 with low compression and it needed new crankshaft bearings and seals. It was losing oil and compression out through the side of the engine at the crankshaft. I also replaced the piston and rings while I had it all apart.

Did it ever start ? I have a 1982, new fuel pump, new fuel filter and trying a new carburetor and I will see what happens !

Yes Mine runs good the last time I road it for about 10 miles and back home.and I love it but I need some money for me and my son it's like riding in the movies lol. Old movie film's. So cool 😎

You might need the spark plug in to get compression and air movement in the crankcase to send the signal to the fuel pump to make it pump fuel, try that first.

Would you happen to know what the hose that’s right besides the fuel pump pulse line on the crank case side? Mine is disconnected and I have no idea what it goes to

82 was a flop had poor compression trying to save on emissions they went back to orginal in 83, , compression was so bad it would hardly draw fuel at startup
